Tenner Lunch!

So I had lunch with a few tenners on Friday- Kim Derting, Lindsey Leavitt, Bree Despain (or, if you are Sharon, Breeds Pain), Christy Raedeke, Jennifer Cervantes, Suzanne Young, Denise Jaden, and Matthew Kirby. The always- lovely Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl showed up as well, along with Jay Asher and Holly Black.

I also got to see Catt again (I see her all the time. o.o) and I got to meet Alicia and Vania! :D

We ate at a place called the Pink Taco. I, however, did not eat tacos there. I had enchiladas, om nom nom.

Vania and me. She's just as wonderful in person. :D

Me and Christy Raedeke, who rocks!

The table with all of us:

Those bags are gift bags my mom and I put together to say thanks to the authors for coming to lunch. :D

AND NOW BLOGGER IS NOT LETTING MY UPLOAD PICTURES. *kicks* (Gmail also won't let me email pictures. RUDE. #googlefail)

I will put more up later if it will let me, but I wanted to post this today to say thanks to the tenners and authors for being so awesome! I had an AWESOME time! Thanks to Kim Derting for setting the whole thing up and for chatting with Vania and me all throughout lunch. <3 Kim is wonderful!

Things I learned from the lunch:
  • Suzanne Young is just as adorable in person!
  • Christy Raedeke and I both agree that Kim Derting seems so innocent, but writes such creepy things. We think she's hiding something.
  • Bree Despain likes her new nickname, Breeds Pain. At least, I think she does. Maybe she is just amused by it. Bree also knows how to draw a platypus.
  • Jen Cervantes is so sweet and nice! :D
  • Denise still does not have a release day for her book, so Vania and I figured that Vania should go to SCBWI and find her editor and tell her we're dying to read Denise's book and need a release date for it ASAP. Also, Denise is super nice.
  • Lindsey Leavitt is tall. And she really likes her lip gloss, because she seemed super happy to get the one I gave her.
  • Kami and Margie are still wonderful.
  • AUTHORS ARE EVEN LOVELIER IN PERSON THAN ONLINE. (But I kind of already knew that.)
  • Bloggers are lovelier in person too. (Kind of knew that too.)
