Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday was started by Jill over at Breaking the Spine. Descriptions and such from goodreads.

Today I'm waiting on:

 Safekeeping by Karen Hesse

Radley just wants to get home to her parents in Vermont. While she was volunteering abroad, the American People's Party took power; the new president was assassinated; and the government cracked down on citizens. Travel restrictions are worse than ever, and when her plane finally lands in New Hampshire, Radley’s parents aren’t there.

Exhausted; her phone dead; her credit cards worthless: Radley starts walking.

When I was little, I read Karen Hesse's Out of the Dust approximately a bazillion times. As happens with many childhood authors, it didn't occur to me that there were other Karen Hesse books I could read, so I can't wait until this awesome-sounding one is in my hands.

Released September 18.

  1. I still remember my fourth grade teacher reading our class Out of the Dust, and me BAWLING my eyes out when a certain event happens...if you know what I mean...So sad! I'm definitely willing to read more by Karen Hesse though!
