Great review! I love Sara Zarr, so I really want to read How to Save a Life. I've heard a lot of people say that the characters are annoying, but you saying it's because they're so human makes me want to read it even more. I'm annoyed by most humans too, but realistic characters are always good :)

I love Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging! I bought the book what seems ages ago on a shopping trip with my mom. The ride home, I read Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging outloud, and we were laughing so hard. The bit where Georgia goes to the party dressed as an olive and the time she shaved off one of her eyebrows pretty much made us cry because of how hard we were laughing.

VERY worth the read. I loved book 1, Isle of Night...

I also have a love-hate thing going on with John Green...I absolutely HATE his books while I'm reading when but when I finish I go "Dang, that was good!" I have to review this one for Ypulse so after I finish My Favorite Mistake, I'll be reading it. I'm curious as to what I'll think after reading this!

I've never actually read John Green before, but I have to read Looking for Alaska for a paper for my YA lit class this semester, so I'm looking forward to seeing what I'll think about it, especially since he's such a popular author!

don't worry, i haven't read graceling either. i have it on my kindle though and am sure it'll be good. and yay for where it began. i love the cover and it looks good. i think there's going to be a book launch event in socal for it in march so keep an eye out.

Ehh, I think I'd have a similar reaction if I had been spoiled about the ending as well, but since it was kind of a shock for me (I'm perceptive like that) it really had an impact for me. And huzzah for funny and sad :)

I love the cover for Wildthorn, and while I enjoyed the story, it was not what I had originally expected it to be but I ended up enjoying how different it was from my usual reading fare!

You're right - this does sound great. I'll admit that I'm a little scared of it, though. I'm much braver when a story like this is on a screen and I can turn away if it gets intense. Books... you HAVE to keep reading! Great pick.
